Big Bra Sizing

Most full-figured or plus-sized women have a hard time determining their bra size. One reason for this is because most brands or lingerie boutiques offer limited sizes, and sometimes, a woman who needs a big bra finds it difficult to even know what her correct bra size is.

Most big bra brands offer different sizing as compared to brands that only offer regular-sized bras. If you are looking to buy a big bra, it’s always advisable to shop among brands that specialise in big bras. Thankfully, the number of brands is starting to rise, making it easier for women to find a big bra that truly fits them perfectly.

One popular brand is Freya. Freya has always been a favorite because of its comfortable and stylish bras. Another would be Elomi, another brand that values comfort and support. Panache has always been consistent in creating big bras that are made of high-quality and has the perfect fit.

The Average Bra Size

A recent study shows that the average American bra size has increased to a 34D during the past few years! From 32C during the 70s to a 34D this 2012, it’s clear how a big bra is now an important part of any lingerie brand.

Rewind to the 80s—bras in a bigger size is a hard find. A big bra is almost impossible to stumble upon on in the olden days, so women who have a big bust mostly have a hard time to wear a properly-fit bra, therefore leading to pain, discomfort, and frustration.

Luckily, there are a lot of brands that carry big bras nowadays. No more searching for that perfect big bra—all you have to do is to look online and shop inside the comforts of your own home. A big bra is now easy to shop for—all it takes is a little patience, some internet connection, a sturdy laptop, and a lot of fashion sense!

Bra Shopping 101

A lot of times women get stuck in the middle of their bra hunting session. We're not surprised-- shopping for intimate wear has become more and more challenging, and sometimes we can't help but feel like it's too tiring to go through all that bra fitting session.

Unlike a regular bra, big bras are more complicated. Big bras are hard to find in most retail stores, more so in designer brand retail boutiques. Most plus-sized women buy their big bras online, as there are many more brands who sell big bras through online shopping.
Regular or ordinary bras are everywhere-- and most of the time its price varies. Branded lingerie are of course more expensive, though you can never count out cheap bras-- if you know where to look, a high-quality but cheap bra can be within your reach.

Remember that comfort is the most important quality to look for in choosing lingerie. Support second, and style, third. Happy shopping!
